Welcome to the WHO Indicators of Infant and Young Child Development (IYCD) package web platform!
IYCD is an open-access caregiver reported instrument developed by a WHO-led team to provide a standardized method for measuring development for children ages 0-3 years across cultures.
WHO is granting free access and use of IYCD. If you wish to use it, you can do so after agreeing to complete a Registration Form that will be emailed to you. The form collects information about the intended use of the IYCD, and will be used to help us to improve and share the knowledge base of IYCD applications, to allow the users to access support, and to keep you up to date with the latest information and developments of the instrument (including international comparability and exposure).
Additionally, all teams using the IYCD are required to sign a simple Data Sharing Agreement, and share quantitative data collected through the instrument, as well as any contextual data that describes the socio-economic background of the participants back with the IYCD team. Sharing of qualitative data would also be helpful so that we can obtain feedback on the use of the instrument in the field. Data will be used for improving the instrument itself and building an international database.
